MIND OVER MATTER MUSIC OVER MIND invites you to join us for a special screening of Mike Sargent's film Luma 1.0 at George Mason University's Harris Theatre on Monday, March 2 at 4:30pm. Admission is free.
MIND OVER MATTER MUSIC OVER MIND (or MOM²) is a part of the emergent District of Noise experimental/improvised music community that has garnered considerable notoriety locally and nationally over the last eighteen months. Luma 1.0 is a dazzling foray into the foveal mysteries of hue and luminescence.
MOM² features GMU assistant professor Thomas Stanley; sound engineer and producer Chris Downing; and local radio personality Bobby Hill. Together, the trio manages to meld found and formed sound into evolving aural tapestries which, in synergy with Luma 1.0, offer a refreshing hiatus from normal waking state consciousness and provide an aperture into unprecedented dimensions of human experience.
This GMU debut of Luma 1.0 will be a return engagement for MOM² and is not too be missed.
